Sunglasses

    So for the 20 or so years we've had Prius vehicles, there has always been a holder for them up around the middle of the car.

    Test drove a new 2024 Prius, and didn't see a place to put them, and didn't think to ask at the time.

    Is this useful feature gone now?

    To be honest, I never used that compartment for sunglasses. I kept a reference card in there for converting L/100 km to MPG.

    What trim was it? Sometimes that is reserved for the higher trims.

    There are more storage places in Gen 5 than in any previous generation.

    When I needed a place for my sunglasses in my new Gen 5, I found one just inside the sunroof cover.

    The inside cover of the non-opening sunroof slides back, revealing a small ledge at the front.

    I know on the Camry you lose that if you have the sunroof. Perhaps they do the same with the Prius?

    FYI If you are using prescription sunglasses, it’s best not to leave them in a car. Fluctuating temps can damage the lenses especially if they have any coatings on them.
