Hear hear. The only vaccines I've ever gotten in my life were shortly after I was born. I've never had a serious case of the flu, never had COVID, nothing. I eat no sugar, no grains, and my gut and immune health is great. Hopefully the medical industry will start telling people to just eat some steak and butter to heal themselves rather than eating whatever junk they want (thus ruining their health) and return to the doctor's office every year or less for 10+ shots that compromise their immune system on top of their affected health.

A straw man. A vaccine primes your adaptive immune system to respond to a pathogen. That doesn't mean you'll never encounter the pathogen. It means if you later encounter it, your adaptive immune system will respond quickly. You can still have some symptoms, both from what the pathogen does and from what your immune system does. On the other hand, those symptoms can be a lot milder or over a lot quicker than if your immune system hadn't had the heads-up.

Is there anyone who seriously does not get this?

Maybe us older folk got spoiled. They give you a polio vaccine & that's it. You're good.
    Good times.

Most polio infections, even in the unvaccinated, are asymptomatic, or a little bit flu-like.

It's the severe cases that stop you breathing or walking.

If you get a polio infection and your vaccine-primed immune system mops it up at the asymptomatic stage, or even slightly flu-like, "you're good", right?

    Breathing and walking are good.

How about "if you get the covid vaccine it at least lessens the severity if you catch it".

that's what they say ... but how do you really know. I mean maybe it did or maybe it didn't. Giving blood to Red Cross regularly I know I've had it multiple times - but I never had any symptoms. Never got the vaccine. If I had? What would MD's say? That it worked? Proof because I never had symptoms? Not saying it works or doesn't work, just pointing out the obvious. No one can really know what it did or didn't do.
Then there's people that dropped dead from heart problems. Was it a health problem that would have happened anyway? Was it the vaccine? Was it a combination?
We wore masks because it freaked people out if you didn't. Got the high quality ones & the box warnings say "will not prevent viruses". Whatever. Science
    Science.

That's why they do large scale studies with proper statistical analysis controlling for as many factors as is reasonably possible.

I'm sure they've done thousands and thousands of studies. But once a person has the virus (either w/ or w/out getting any vaccination) .... they have greater immunities. Maybe for ½yr or more, right? You get exposed & contract the virus again? Even presuming it's still the same variant? I would love to figure out how those kinds of thousands and thousands of studies accurately come to any reliable conclusions, that's all.
"oh - we studied it we're scientists"
    LOL
Or equally inexplicable, you give someone the vaccination, & so they contract serious symptoms, or minor or none ... how in the blank can anyone jump to an authoritative conclusion and believably say, "oh you would have been much worse ... trust us - it's science" .

If those are honest questions, there's hope ... plenty of places a person with those questions could begin learning the answers.

If they're just question-marked ways of saying "I'm sure nobody knows any more about immunology than I do", there's less hope.

"Hopefully the medical industry will start telling people to just eat some steak and butter to heal themselves ..."

I don't share that hope. I do enjoy such occasional indulgences though, and hopefully pill-form statins daily will offset negative consequences on blood chemistry.

"Most polio infections, even in the unvaccinated, are asymptomatic, or a little bit flu-like." That may be true in the current world with only a few hundred reported cases, I do not know. Pre-vaccine polio probably did have many minor cases as you report. But if the walkers/breathers are also spreaders, that is not good.

some would apparently prefer a world without doctors, scientists and pharma

" ...prefer a world without ..." In which some might prosper at least briefly.

But 8 unto 10 billions need support in many areas. Shamans and 'supplements' won't suffice.

apparently, in their minds, they will. after all, doctors, scientists and pharma are not perfect, as such people must feel that they themselves are.

Those without humility are blind to their own flaws. Worse, they can not build upon the shoulders of other but insist on standing on the toes of their betters.

Isn't that kind of black & white? Whereby if someone has questions they are looked down upon or chastise by those who suggest that any or some inquiries ought never be made? That notion begs the question whether it's worse to raise the question or to question motives of the one raising the question.
The only answered question for certain is,
"other than saying scientists say so ~ who can with certainty that if you took the covid vaccine and got the disease anyway, whether it would have been worse or not.

The science "say so" is nothing like some comment of an internet site. It is based on data collected from studies with multiple patients. Studies that for pharmaceuticals have regulatory oversight. For a large majority of patients in those clinic studies, the vaccinated people that did get sick had a milder case than the control patients that weren't vaccinated. That is what the science is saying.
