New to using Dr. Prius for Battery Cell Diagnosis

    I’m working on my first Toyota Prius battery, on a 2013 Pruis C with 130 K.

    I ran the Dr Pruis App. The Full Battery test produces no errors and the Life Expectancy test came in at 62 %.

    Here’s a capture from when the Battery was fully charged and partly discharged (end of Life expectancy

    Does this battery need any cells replaced?

    Or will just reconditioning and rebalancing bring me back to my goal of 85%

    The only I can identify is number 7. I shot some video where 1 and 3 misbehave and the only ones I really trust are 2, 4, 5 and 6)

    I've watched 30 videos and read a lot of articles and I'm thinking that Dr Pius is only a starting point for Prius C Battery Cell Diagnosis. Torque Pro which wont work on my Android 12 might have better information. The rest has to be done on the workbench with Load Testing and measurements, etc.

    That was embarrassing. I didn't understand cumulative Delta until just now and it turns out my weakest cells are 2, 3. 4, 5 ,6

    Only thing you need to keep an eye on is "voltage diff"

    As that number trends upward your battery will be more in need of reconditioning. Once you get yellow triangle and error codes you probably need a new module or fresh start with brand new.

    To me, it does not look like any of the battery modules need replacing.

    The easiest way to do a reconditioning is by using a grid charger and discharger. Do a search for the Prolong System.

    That's what I was thinking of doing first anyway.
    That way I cam learn more.
    I'm reading that swapping modules is not that simple.
    I have the EV peak CQ3 Charger, is that good?

    some hints for using drprius.
    Most important IMO is not to dwell on one screenshot too much.
    One or two screenshots can be extremely misleading.
    During one drive take a shot at the beginning or highest SOC or both, than take a shot when the SOC is at it lowest point.

    When it gets low take a shot, if it ever gets lower take another,etc....
    Try to get as wide a spread as you notice during one drive session - from Ready Mode until Shutdown
    Than write a short summary after, to go alone with the shots.
    The stuff grows on you after a while, you'll find what works for you and your understanding of the car and how drprius is reading the sensors and have a much better idea of how things are in comparison to how they've been previously.

    It's a learning process, and not a one size fits all kinda thing.
