Just bought the upgrade for Dr Prius, mainly to do a 'Full Battery Test' and turn off the annoying beeps for reversing and seat belts. For the battery test, it tells you to "accelerate hard and then decelerate hard". Did that several times and still telling me to "accelerate hard and decelerate hard in a safely manner to complete the test." As for the beeps, they are still there after knocking over the green switches.

Is the upgrade a waste of money or am I missing something?

I believe that the hybrid battery needs to be at 70F or warmer for the test to complete successfully.

Try doing the Life Expectancy Test. You do not need to drive the car for this test, but the battery needs to be warm enough.

What blue tooth adapter did you get? If you didn't get the correct one, it may no be communicating
    with the app correctly.

It is the Nexas and appears to be communicating without any problem. If it is due to the temperature of the battery, it might not reach 70 F° till next Summer!

I used it back in 2021 to get rid of the annoying reverse beep. That option was free, back then and worked.

I was a little off on the temperature. The battery needs to be 77F (25C) or hotter for the Dr Prius battery tests to complete successfully.
