The ABS, VSC, and emergency brake light have been intermittently turning on for my 2010 Prius. Following the advice from other threads, I shorted pins 4 and 13 on the OBD2 connector and grabbed the blinking light codes. The codes from the ABS and VSC showed issues with wheel speed sensors. However, there was another two-digit code (22) from the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) related to one of the solenoids. I cleared the error codes and the dashboard lights were gone when I restarted the car, but the TPMS error code still remained when I went back into diagnostic mode. Does this indicate a genuine issue with the solenoid, even though there is no apparent problem with the car once the ABS and VSC codes have been cleared?

What is this solenoid you speak of? I know of no solenoids in the tire pressure monitoring system.

yeah I do not know. The solenoid was the only code I could find that’s associated with the error code (22) that the Tpms light was blinking out when I put the car in diagnostic mode.

Huh? When the TPMS light blinks 22, that's trouble code C2122, No Signal from Transmitter ID2. That's in the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the Tire Pressure Warning System.

Blink code 22 may be about a solenoid in some different DTC chart for some different system in the car, but that's why after doing a search for a given blink code, it's important to page back up to the top of the chart you landed in and make sure it's the right one for the light that blinked.
