P0A80 error code

    On my 2011 Prius with 150k miles, I’m averaging 50 miles per gallon. This morning, while driving, there is a small uphill portion before leaving my subdivision. As I drove up, all the warning lights came on, indicating that the hybrid battery needs to be replaced with a .

    I connected my Techstream laptop to get a screenshot, but I’m not very familiar with using it. Then, I used the Dr. Prius Battery app to run a diagnostic, which provided additional information. I’m planning to sell the car, but I want to fix this problem first. After clearing the check engine light, the car is driving fine, but now it shows a permanent P0A80 code.

    What do you think could be the issue? Is it just one or more bad cells that need to be replaced, or does the entire battery need balancing? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you, and have a great day!

    One of the two modules that make up block #8 is bad. You can try to replace that one bad module and see if that works.

    if you can figure out tech stream, it will tell you which cells. you could replace them and rebalance the pack instead of replacing the whole pack, but you should disclose that to buyers. it likely won't last too long.

    After speaking with the eBay seller, he pointed out that Blocks 6 and 8 are not holding a charge properly. He suggested replacing those two blocks, which consist of 4 cells. I have a mechanic friend who will replace them for me.

    No. The video is for a 2007 Camry hybrid.. The Gen 3 is different. Search this forum, and you will find the information that you are looking for.

    Can you please provide the block identification details for the 2011 Prius Gen 3 hybrid battery? I need to replace Block 6 and Block 8, but I want to confirm their exact positions. Specifically, could you clarify the following: sax.jpg
