I'll be putting as much solar on the roof of our motorhome as possible, maybe even ad slide-out ones for when we are camped up. Maybe we could make a few $$ recharging EVs

Around these parts, service stations were going up in ridiculous places where there was never going to be the passing trade to keep them viable ..... but none of them see to be completed ...... I think they were just blocking out potential cluster shops where the EV charging point supplied trade for a restaurant, a coffee shop, a gift shop and maybe even a food and hardware type supermarket ..... exactly the way things went when the first petrol stations appeared in a town.

The fuel industry over here is desperate to stop electric charging highways to form, so the B/S about range anxiety can continue to be pushed in an attempt to not become a fossil industry .... they have an enormous amount of infrastructure that will become worthless once the general public are n longer reliant on them .....

All those who complain about training for a job they never get, what about a charging station repair technician, an ever growing field that isn't going to be phased out anytime soon.

technical training in the us (other than computer) is looked down upon and only acceptable for immigrants.
we have far too may college grads of medium intelligence who refuse to get their hands dirty, and are tossed by the whims of corporate layoffs because they are completely expendable

Change that from the USA to the world ........ even India is having second thoughts about the whole privileged race v "the others" when it comes to training and upper positions .... the cry of "I won't train/work with these people" has become an easy out for management that is non Indian rather than leverage to keep the lower classes under foot. As a result, India might become that "World dominating technical centre" that China currently threatens and possibly actually is ...... they have an aging and shrinking population, India does not .........
