I destroyed the clock spring wire so I had to replace the cock, spring wire and steering angle sensor with used OEM equipment. Since then I haven't been able to program the linear valve using text stream version 15 or the other computer text stream version 18. I also haven't had any success with using pins 4 and 12 for this technique. Any recommendations? PXL_20241107_203437487.jpg PXL_20241107_214624859.jpg PXL_20241107_215039096.jpg

I don't think you can do anything about the linear valve offset until the C1451 code is gone. The Techstream bleed procedure is the only way to make C1451 go away (even if you didn't do anything that let air in).

I don't know of any reason you can't zero the yaw sensor; I don't think C1451 blocks that at all. If I remember right, the non-Techstream, TS-to-CG jumper procedure for that shares identical steps with some other non-Techstream dance, except one is with the parking brake on and one is with it off. (I'm not sure I remember which is which, offhand.) It's possible the brake on/offness could also matter when using the Techstream procedure.

I don't think I've ever had to deal with zeroing the stroke sensor.

So what you're saying is I should try doing the bleed procedure first?

I did the only option available but I'm getting an error message

PXL_20241108_010345359.jpg Then when I try to do the linear valve calibration again I get this error

Okay, this time the brake fluid bleed replacement seems to have worked. I got a correct message at the end and I'm back to this page. What should I do next? PXL_20241108_011130843.jpg PXL_20241108_011119637.jpg

I just did the ecb-r utility. Now I'm going to do the air bleeding

So it got through the first five parts on the left but errored out during the "circulate fluid in actuator" part?

I had a dongle that gave me that kind of problem a lot. (I think I got it to succeed on, like, my sixth try. In each try, the "circulate fluid" step empties and pumps up the accumulator six times, so I think that had probably happened about 30 times by the time I finally finished. No idea how much life I took off the accumulator that way.

I got a different dongle and tried that one another time, and it worked on the first try.

Do you still have the C1451 code, or is it gone now?

I tried doing the procedure choosing ABS actuator has been replaced. Unfortunately, I guess it recognizes I'm not doing the actual bleeding? PXL_20241108_011421972.jpg PXL_20241108_011435191.jpg

I'm doing the air bleed procedure. I'll check codes again in just a moment

Seems like the next thing to do would be the yard rate sensor and then I think it's reset the memory and the linear valve offset if that needs to be done You're just replacing the clock spring so all you should do next maybe is just the y'all rate sensor and then everything should be golden If you haven't messed with the brake parts I would think the linear valve offset would be good to go and I think usually before you do that you have to reset the memory I think that's right before you do the linear valve offset I thought it prompted you when you started to do it like if you try to do the linear valve offset it'll tell you you need to go and reset the memory first so then you get out of that menu and you go back and reset the memory and then you do the linear valve but it seems to me you just replaced the y'all rate sensor with the clock spring so if I got the bleeding code to go away I would be trying to set my yaw rate sensor.

I don't understand how neither version 15 or version 18 could work on doing the linear valve offset. It all started out with me breaking a clock spring wire. Then I replaced that and the steering angle position sensor with the cheap Chinese garbage. I threw them out and now put in a steering angle sensor and a clock spring wire that are used OEM. What a Chinese nightmare this is

I have a generation 3 solar roof car that at random I can't even get into the system with my Toyota software and the Mongoose cable It's the only car I've ever seen do this really strange but then couple of days later I can get in just fine and I have had communication problems where things stop mid-process and get these communication errors it's quite annoying but I've had good luck with the AP200 doing some of this without any problems it's really strange

On a strong positive note, this is the first time I've seen the ABS light, the brake light and the traction control light blinking during the linear valve offset request procedure. This might be working. I would upload a video if I could stay tuned for more

Yes I've had trouble getting those lights to flash properly too on both generations It's kind of hit or miss so you're doing well

Is your 12 volt battery completely up to snuff or are you on the charger?

Run the health check again to see if the C1451 code cleared.

Here's a video the lights blinking during a linear valve offset request. For some reason now all the lights are off on the dash it may have worked

I'm about to go for a test drive. Here's the YouTube video link
