IMG_2092.jpeg I’m Haris from the UK. And my 2008 blue gen 2 T spirit I bought this year with full Toyota service history for £2,600. I wish it had leather seats though. So far, have lifted it 1.6” all round, and got Toyota to add a smart water protection code to the cat, as cat thefts are on the rise here. Have also replaced the centre armrest, as the cloth was missing, removed rear tints as they didn’t do anything for the car (although they were professionally installed), replaced wipers, added mats, replaced the front struts and wheel bearing, replaced a drop link and ball joint, replaced a missing hub cap, replace number plate bulbs, and some other odd bits here n there. Want to get higher profile tyres now.

Thank you. I did want red or black at first. And white, but we never got white in the gen 2s in the UK. Yes, I think cat thefts are slowly tailing off now hopefully. Thrives are taking the whole car instead! Range Rover thefts are rife. Thieves are targeting keyless entry and go cars.

Good question! All is explained in this article: Drivers can SmartWater mark catalytic converters to tackle thefts | This is Money

It strikes me that this is only useful against certain types of thieves.

Here in the USA it was found that some of them were fencing the converters to an exporter who was just filling cargo containers and shipping them across the Pacific.

None of those who unloaded them could actually read any of the markings....

Good choice of color! That thief crime rate sounds alarming
