    Hi all,

    -2010, 420k km
    -Car is ON
-Engine is warmed up but off

My car has always made this buzzing/humming/whirring noise, but I don't ever remember it being this loud. It appears to be coming from the centre of the engine area, in the front third of the engine bay. I do not think it is the water pump and I do not think it is the inverter pump either. I am wondering if is some kind of proportional valve trying to position-keep... I know it has always made this noise but this seems louder than I recall. It could just be that it's a quiet day outside today but I am wondering what this is and if I should be concerned.

There is almost a digital-sounding "chatter" over top of it as well if you listen very closely.

    Any ideas?

The most prominent sound I hear in your video is the whiny b above middle c that comes from the throttle body, as this post further explains. I'm not sure if that's the sound you meant me to listen to.

You're spot-on with that, reached over to my piano to check.
