My 2008 Prius failed the annual DMV inspection for a parking light that's out. Turns out it's only the passenger side front parking light. I successfully changed the bulb, and the fuse but it's still out. I also swapped the left bulb for the right, and still no success on the passenger side So next I'm going to try to get the connector apart and see if anything looks suspect there, but I'm stumped if that doesn't get me anywhere.

Shocking for North Carolina but in Charlotte I guess not very surprising You may have to pull that headlight assembly out or at least the wiring from the back of the whole assembly It's all linked together to see what the problem might be You need to find out if you have 12 volts coming to the socket with the switch on the first position I'm assuming the marker lights in the rear and the other side front are working I believe that's what you stated.? So then you're interested in that whole loom that'll have your halogen H4 plug hopefully for this operation your turn signal bulb and your little 194 marker bulb I have LEDs and all three of those slots personally what you have may be different and if you have HID lighting then some things change here.

You will have to use a meter or test light and check the power and ground at the connector. Since the rest of the “parking” (marker or tail) lights work then it can’t be a relay or fuse since all four use the same source.

It’s just as likely the ground side is bad. It is connected to the chassis at EA in the pics.
