I use both - but the former is more useful for exchanging digital and analogue data.

I wonder if the human-size hamster wheel set from 2001: a space odyssey is still in one piece somewhere? Google says no: Stanley Kubrick had it destroyed, didn't want it ended up in some B-movie.

 

Which is the reason most comedy club comedians have material which is dumbed down for the masses. Kind of like Adam Sandler’s stuff vs George Carlin.
