Nasty sound when reversing and then coming to full stop

    Sound comes from the rear end. It’s very ”dry&rusty” creak. There are so many joints and bars of all kind. What might be most probable joint that i need to lube or clean to get rid of that embarrassing sound?

    Does the noise change at all when you're using the brakes or not using the brakes?

    If i apply brakes very very gently sound is weaker

    If you're DIY I'd inspect the brake calipers and pads for uneven wear as well as make sure the backing plate isn't rubbing... But if you aren't DIY and have to depend on a shop I'd be careful about who you take it to because at most shops the fastest most dishonest way to make money off a car that doesn't need any work is to BS the owner into forking over $1K to do all the brakes because it only takes an hour and the markup on pads and rotors is extreme.

    How the rust, say on the rear, solid-axle beam, trailing arms, springs/shocks? Finland uses a lot of road salt?
