For those that missed it last night, here's the link. It starts about 53 minutes in, if you don't want to watch the light show. :p
For those that don't know, this is about Tesla's latest upcoming tech and vehicles.

You could have just said, "Hey everyone"

Scheduling this event late at night on a Thursday is somebody's way of keeping this next dud a secret.

I saw it and while waiting, I put another 18% of my TSLA for sale on Friday, at least $214/share.

Since we bought back when it was in the $60's (equivalent) & let it ride past $280 dollars on several occasions - we're good to hold. Of course if it goes over $400 ... then greed WILL take over.

I have a capital gains problem that I'll solve by installing whole house solar for the tax credit.

½ of our Tesla stock is held in Roth ... so we don't even have to start spending that at age 70 or 75 or whatever age the Fed's are requiring 401k or SEP plan's gain to be w/drawn. Will use the capital gains on those parts to get offset on another EV purchase. Everyone should be running NACS by then

Looks like both Uber and Lyft stocks went up after this announcement. Doesn't look like their investors fear the competition.

Not to discount the ones that are not. One discounter I thought had it right, that the dog & pony was to pump up the stock.

    Ah, gotcha.

    That one might be tougher.

From my perspective as a user of the service and not a shareholder, it already feels unaffordably expensive while service levels have been tangibly dropping.

So if they can't turn a profit while charging premium rates and paying substandard compensation, it doesn't look good- maybe they spent too much money getting into this position?

Well, hey... the showed off the car part of their Robotaxi. And by 2028, they might know how to make the self driving robot part work. Given how notoroious Tesla is for missing deadlines, would I be worried if I were uber and lyft?

I have used them only sparsely, to and from airport, and only since their industry killed the previous airport shuttle service. Local regulation has significantly raised compensation. Rates are about the same as taxis, but my most recent taxi drivers seemed to be those who can't meet rideshare driver qualifications.

The Robovan reminds me of the streamlined locos from the Art-Deco era.

Comparing robot vs human workers, humans have imagination to propose better solutions. Elon famously encourages innovation from all employees which leads to Tesla manufacturing success. He learned this when the Fremont robots failed.

There are tasks a robot makes sense but there are risks to innovation.
