I'm planning on replacing the booster & accumulator on my 2014 prius v. I got the pump running every few seconds and brakes are failing intermittently.

I'm capable of swapping the parts but I've read that there's calibration/bleeding/programming that needs done with the Toyota software/tools. I don't have those.

Is it possible to do the swap and have a tech do that part? Do they have to do the entire repair? I'm at 1.4k with parts so I'm trying to keep costs low.

Also, is there a way to find dealer techs to do the work? Or can a 3rd party shop do it? I'm not very knowledgeable on the toyota software/tool topic.

    Thank you.

UNTIL a professional tech with tech stream or Autel does all the back end tests/bleeding you're going to have a ton of lights on and the brakes will not work properly. I would probably get it towed to someone after if you don't plan on doing the computer stuff after the install.

Oh okay. Thanks, I thought I'd be able to drive it. Towing is an option, I was hoping I'd be able to get someone to come to me instead, like a mobile mechanic deal. But I'm not sure how to find someone that can get it done. Is there a site/group where toyota techs hang around that I can look into?

Don't know about that. But maybe you can find a mobile mechanic in your area with a version of tech stream that can finish that for you. Either that or tow it to a hybrid shop.
