First oil change

    "The guy" was in the linked video.

    One interesting nugget there I'd never noticed before is that the PHEV has a lower oil capacity. 3.9 L compared to 4.2 L. Didn't think there was any difference in the engines. Weird.

    An allowance to the PHEV engine not working as much as the hybrid over the same distance, perhaps?

    More likely it's because the PHEV has a balance shaft assembly inside the oil pan and the HEV doesn't. The PHEV has a different oil pan to partially compensate, but I bet the assembly displaces more oil than the pan adds.

    Aha, that's the difference I'd forgotten. Thank you.

    I'm curious as to whether anyone who's experienced both could say that they perceived a difference in the engine noise+vibration.

    Hey there, strap wrench would work great for that filter, also I run the same plug as you for an easier service, the fumoto plug should be only tightened to 15ft lb for japanese cars as said on their manual so just keep that in mind.
