Correct torq values for 4th gen valve cover.

    Anyone know the correct torque values for the plastic valve cover on the fourth generation 1.8?

    Looks like everything's 7 foot pounds. Don't know that I'd even bother with torque wrench, maybe just one-hand a ratchet wrench, using it like a T-wrench, give them a firm snug.

    Thank you so much. I knew the gen 3 metal covers were 7 ft/lbs, but was worried that the newer plastic ones were less. I ordered a JDM engine and the cover was cracked so they sent me a replacement. Wish me luck on the swap. Im very thankful for all the post on here to walk me through the swap.

    Last link in my signature is the full, 3rd gen engine section. I think it'll have stuff like the motor mount bolt torque, ditto for the transaxle connection. (on a phone turn it sideways to see signatures). And yeah, good luck.
