What ramps or jacks are you using?

    The front and back ends of the pinch weld on the 2nd generation have a reinforced section specifically for accepting the car's scissor jack and for placing the lifts at a shop. They can be seen in this picture

    The front jack points you indicate don't look the same. There is a plastic panel immediately posterior to it and very close which looks like it would interfere with a jack stand in the picture. Pictures can be deceiving. Just went to look at it on our 2007 and that panel isn't an issue on that year. However, besides having a plastic plug in it, it is slightly over 3" wide, which is a hair too wide to set down cleanly into my jack stands (metal to metal), it looks like it would put all the weight on the couple of raised millimeters on the ends of the stands. It is definitely too narrow to land with the rubber covers that are usually on those stands (different from the ones shown above). It might work with other jack stands though, if they were slightly wider.

    ive mangle these edges to pieces on both generation 3s and a couple of the twos haven't squashed or damaged anything yet everything seems a-ok so we use them I don't have a four-post lift with swingarms and all of that so I don't know what that means but nothing to me All of our cars have been put on those type of lifts right up the corner from my house there's one sitting outside at my friend's house never any problem so far so everything seems to work well and the flat lift at the tire place it sits on the floor works great drive over it hit the button picks up the rocker panels right off the ground so you can do all the tire wheel and brake work you want

    I have a heavy duty hydraulic floor jack, some hard-plastic drive on ramps, and a QuickJack 7000TL.

    The Quick Jack is, by far, my favorite...even lifts my V-8 Tundra Max Crew cab effortlessly. (I just have to keep an eye on the clearance with the garage door opener.) With it, I can do an oil change and tire rotation in less then 30-minutes if I'm in a hurry.

    One note about those drive-on plastic ramps, they won't work if the vehicle is rear-wheel driven (like my Tundra when not in 4x4) because they will just get "pushed" and slide..it's annoying. So put vehicles in 4x4 when driving up on them or I've seen folks use a long piece of lumber to prevent them sliding.

    I’ve used these points maybe 30~35 times. The plastic ceases just in time. Cradle seats well.
