I won't say anything scary about the banhammer because the mods here are really not super trigger-happy and there isn't much history of anybody getting banned without really cruising for it.

But I will put this idea out: if you say stuff like "if anyone X then I'm going to Y", you're sort of telling people how your strings can be pulled, and there are a few people on this forum who will pull them on purpose, and watch you react, and possibly draw a mod's attention away from them where it belongs, to you.

A key to having that not happen is to remember that you always get to choose whether you're going to respond at the same level as someone trying to provoke you, or at a better level.

There was a new member around here earlier this year who did get a temporary ban, precisely because he had trouble remembering that, and kept letting his strings get pulled when he could have chosen not to.

Remember this in post #9? Trying to correct spelling, claiming we're making false statements about Facts, then flying off the handle hurling insults is over the top. I have no idea why you went there so early in the game for no reason.

Over being wrong a Prius discussion forum? If this does happen, we need to record it and make money from it...the proceeds can buy you a Sodium Ion battery for that little M&M you drive.;)

Firstly your mistaken and assumed something not true. "Thats" That word was there by mistake from my reply. Second "Thats" is not correct spelling anyway it's wrong. Third, what word of your was that supposed to correct? Forth, look at all the mistakes I made on my first post. I'm not even a good speller my self to criticize others which I don't do even if I was.

Wrong with what? Point out were I'm wrong. I already pointed out one of your mistakes in assuming.

Show me were I said someone is making a false statements.

YOU started with the insult first "Another self indulgent internet troll with nothing better to do than demand answers and cry about spelling mistakes" You also wrongly assumed I was correcting a selling mistake.

It's normal to discuss things and exchange and debate on information. Any person who doesn't is not a critical thinker. If you can't handle that then don't respond with an answer. Of coarse I'm going to ask questions. That doesn't mean I don't believe what the person is saying. It means I want to know more about it to also bring my own conclusions.

Show me where I was wrong. I bet your going to misunderstand things again. Yes record it and ill keep the money and as my very new batt is working great. Give me a break, your driving an old mans grandpa marshmallow wagon.

    Responding to post #20

I live in the high desert and Im only an hour and a half away from Las Vegas.

Today the outside temp was 85-95F during my drive to Morongo Casino.

Had the AC on full blast there and back.

Once on the 15 freeway Northbound the sodium GT has no problem letting me keep up with others on the freeway doing 70+mph with AC on blast.

Still did 47mpg with three people onboard.

The sodium-ion battery definately gives more power to the wheels compared to the lithium versions.

Did not go below two bars from full during the trip.

Battery pack temps on stayed around 100F

Ok my mistake then, THAT'S your problem then.;)

The first several of your posts trying to discredit Azusa and Myself with our first hand knowledge about weight of the batteries and performance by arguing and posting old screenshots of old data from Jack's website that we told you is in progress of being updated, but then you replied with some rude expletive...so whatever.

See, I like those kind of insults...they are funny to me but you probably rehearsed that in the mirror before typing it in your best Robert DeNiro voice and facial expressions didn't you? This wagon can run circles around the M&M buddy..all day, every day.

That never happened. Show me specifically.

    Thanks for that info.

I would run the fan on higher speed if you want to cool it down more.

    What Problem?

Actually Jack says the temp of 80-100F is optimum to get full power from the battery pack and the sodium-ion pack is made to stay in that range.

Trust that I am well versed with these packs and know the optimum range also.

:ROFLMAO: 1.5 versus 1.8 stock versus stock it's still faster than a Prius C...let alone the mods done. Another $10k bounty race being offered after the santa fe driver's wife declined.

Back to another drag race, California and Louisiana this time.

Might still be easier just to find a good online escrow service, put the $10k there, and visit some local tracks and get timeslips.

Let's get rid of racing altogether, it's a crazy right wing sport and too many people actually having fun and showing real results of fast cars head to head. You should get your head checked.

That's the beautiful thing about numbers though. You can go right ahead and find out if a car in California is faster or slower than a car in Louisiana without having to get the CA car to LA or the LA car to CA. It's like magic.

That's not how science actually works. The conditions in person need to be the same (altitude, weather, time of day) also witnesses recording to make sure there is no manipulation of sorts with numbers, a mediator to open the hoods and inspect and identify all power adders. This is how real racing is done, not the keyboard cowboy way.

When I win, I will treat you a meal and a handshake like 2 gentlemen doing gentleman things always did in the past.

Science actually works very much like that. Even in the simple case of the two cars on the same track at the same time, a scientist would pay attention to the size of the time difference. If one car absolutely smoked the other, one run would be enough. If the margin were narrower, the scientist would call for additional runs to see if the same car won every time, or how many times for each, before drawing a conclusion. How to decide how many runs, based on how wide the differences are, to draw an x% confident conclusion, is part of the math a scientist learns in school.

The more complex case where the runs can't be simultaneous and the conditions can't all be identical, is very much the way a lot of science has to be done. It means you have to list out all the conditions (altitude, weather, time of day, etc.) you can think of mattering, and you make sure each car does a certain number of runs with those conditions being varied. The results you get, you crank into an analysis of variance (ANOVA)—more math a scientist learns in school—and find out about how much of the difference in results to credit to each contributing factor.

From there, you can make the same kind of judgment as in the first case. If the result difference according to which car is way bigger than the differences any of the other factors make, you're pretty much done. If the difference isn't that stark, you collect more data.

Experiment-design courses cover how to do all that, and when you do it right, you get results much more dependable than any single unrepeatable trial. And that's why that's how science actually works.

While the experiment-design part covers how to get dependable results when people are honest, the rest of these matters are all about making sure people aren't dishonest. And sure, that's important too. There really are online betting escrow services where you can write your bet and put up your money, and the service will mediate who gets the disbursement. For sure, anybody with sense using one of those services would be careful to write those kinds of conditions into the bet.
