85 AH AGM marine deep cycle battery for my Prius

I decided to trade the Prius in for a new Sienna. Thanks all.

 

It's a new 2024 which are only available as a hybrid. In my area almost no Siennas make it to the dealerships before they're sold. I had to wait about 10 days for mine.

They're not cheap but for a minivan that gets mid 30s mpg it's not awful. I got an xle with the 1500 watt inverter for about 50K. I'm 80% living on the road so I see this as vehicle and also rent cost. So far I'm loving it.

 

I'm in the Orlando area but it's true all over FL. I actually bought mine from a dealership 100 miles away. Never went there. They delivered it to me.

I went through a long decision-making process that led me to a new one. Since I'm living mostly on the road, I was tired of the Prius and wanted something bigger.

I thought about older minivans but I've driven a Prius since 2011 and vehicles with low mpg are not appealing. You can get a Pacifica hybrid but it's about the same price as the Sienna, and I'm a Toyota hybrid fan.

I spend most of my time in very hot climates like FL and SC, so being able to run climate control overnight is very important. Again, that meant a hybrid. I looked at hundreds of used Sienna hybrids and was shocked at how high the prices are. I even put a lot of effort into negotiating for one xle at a dealership that had only 4750 miles on it. Believe it or not I was able to get my new, very similar van for less! It's a crazy market for Siennas!

I've driven it for a little over a week and it feels great.
