I like my "200,000 mile Club" cars that have not had major engine maintenance. ;)

Those are the ones that likely had minor engine maintenance, every 50k, namely you-know-what. That’ll hopefully stave off head gasket failure.

the runaway oil consumption, nothing short of piston/ring replacement is the cure, or new short block.

and there’s brake booster’s inevitable demise.

    and hybrid battery.

pretty soon you’ve got yourself a high mileage funny car. Meh.

    Nice

head gasket a year ago here (completed by myself) @362000

15000 miles later, running like a champ. Hot weather dropped MPG from 38 to 34

    2012 Prius v, 203K miles.

    1) Did you replace the HV battery pack? Do you maintain it? No, No.
    2) Did you replace the 12v battery? I think so
    3) Did you replace the transaxle fluid? How often? Plan to soon.
    4) Did you replace the brake pads? I think so
    5) Your lifetime MPG (if available)? About 27 -- it'd be closer to 30 for me but my wife does most of the driving.
    6) How often do you change your oil? Does your Prius consume oil? What brand / product did you use? Every 5K miles, pretty religiously (thanks to my wife.) No idea what product. It doesn't consume oil.
    7) How about posting a picture of 200,000 miles on ODO?
    8) Did you install an oil catch can? How often do you inspect or dump it? No
    9) Have you cleaned the egr circuit? How frequently? No -- might need to.
    10) Any other maintenance? Inverter was replaced; failed 2 days before the extended warranty elapsed (!) No other repairs, just routine maintenance (and not a lot of that -- still original spark plugs & coils.)

Dr. Prius says battery life is at 60%. 3 or 4 years ago it was at 80%.

The head gasket just started leaking, causing misfires. I applied K-Seal Head Gasket Repair and seems better, but need to drive more to be sure. Hoping the Catalytic converter survived.

    You Da'Man!

Can you list all the unscheduled maintenance you've had to do?
edit: oops, just saw that you have a replacement head gasket... Did you get the FelPro?
Did you scrupulously clean the EGR system the way ol'Mendel beats the drum? (every 50k mi.)

    EGR system cleaning?
    Water pump?
Clean air passage in HV battery pack?

You know, items not in the Owner's Manual schedule....

    I'm at 150k mi.
Everything is fine! Low oil consumption, decent mpg.

    Although, I'm tooling up to:
-Install cleaned intake manifold (The main item that MAY be part of cylinders 1 and 2 having head gasket failures),
EGR 90° pipe, EGR cooler and EGR valve.
A friend lent me these parts when his shop made him buy all new parts, but he now has the newer version of the intake manifold.

    - Uncover battery pack and blow out the dust bunnies from the fan and the pack. I helped with this on another Prius. You'd be surprised by the cloud of dust you blow out from under the battery modules.

-Replace front wheel bearing. I can hear sounds on the right side on smooth asphalt and changing side loads.

    - What else? I change 1/2 gal of engine coolant at each oil change. Inverter coolant looks new. Do

I am here for the club. I have been driving plug-in 2012 since 2019. No issue with ABS, HV/EV battery.
only replaced the front shocks and some little pieces. that's all. I drove 40,000 worry free miles overall.

Wait, are you bragging that you drove "40k miles in +5 years" ??
At that rate, you may not live long enough to be in the "200k Klub".

Well, generally I would agree with you, but I neglected to say that when I bought the car it had already 130k on it.

Just to clarify, are you saying the original head gasket lasted ~300K miles?
    If so, that's encouraging !!(y)

No, it gave up the house at 230k. I then took it to Tampa Hybrids where they installed a Felpro head gasket and repaired the leaky timing cover and tensioner. They also tighten up my recently replaced control arms, replaced the PVC and plugs etc. the car has run beautifully since. Except for the weird traction control glitch that appeared after I replaced the steering rack.

@ednorton’s asking @ASRDogman, regarding how many head gasket changes.

AFAIK that was his car’s FIRST head gasket change. FWIW he’s cleaned the EGR multiple time. My hunch is the first cleaning was a little late. I’ve asked when it was, so far no answer.
