Assuming buck meant book, ironically that's another thing I really miss about older cars. I always got a repair manual for each of my cars, until now.

I got a Haynes repair manual for the Prius and am thinking of throwing it out and changing it for a Bentley repair manual. I've always preferred the Bentley manuals over others like Haynes or Chiltons (but factory repair manuals ON PAPER are the best IMO).

But I can't find one for the 2013 Avalon hybrid. Not even a Haynes, unless I get the non-hybrid version, which is actually for the non-hybrid Camry but includes some info for the Avalon.

I got Honda Shop Manual for all our previous. Dimensions of a Vancouver White Pages. And well written too. That ship has sailed.

Helminc was were I ordered manuals, usually around $100 CDN. But I guess they’re not happen anymore; for better or worse it’s all online, behind a paywall.

too, Honda Owners Manuals always had basic maintenance: engine oil and transmission fluid changes, and spark plug replacement.

    (yeah “book”, fixed)

For the OP support right to repair bills, and the companies that don't work against them.
Even the large grills on ICE cars aren't all open.

The expensive parts are usually the ones limited to a single car model.

Not a solution for newer cars. Using a third party stereo on the 2013 Sonic meant losing the turn indicator clicking, and I didn't even have the entertainment system with a screen. Need to research whether the replacement actually supports everything the factory model did.

I guess that explains why the headlight units on my Avalon are so expensive. Then people wonder why I drive 10mph below the speed limit. I don't want to hit another deer.

I replaced the Stereo in my 2020 AWDe to get a CD and Android Auto. Everything still worked as there was an interface specifically for Toyotas.

That sounds like a major exception. How do I change the stereo in my 2013 Avalon? It would be nice to have on that works. How about the 2006 Prius? That one the screen doesn't work.

    Isaac,

Just go to a good car stereo shop. They will know what works for your car. The 2006 Prius should be no problem as I swapped out the Stereo in my 2004. Crutchfield.com will also provide good information on what will work in your cars.
