Production less than sales. 2Q sales/deliveries less than 2Q last year. Stock up 10% today. Still down 6% for the year. What caused the lower production?
You snooze, you lose: $229 / share Tesla deilveries down year-over-year Source: https://ir.tesla.com/press-release/tesla-vehicle-production-deliveries-and-date-financial-results-webcast-second-quarter-2024
Sales softened this year as some of Tesla models lost any fed rebates. EV sales continue to grow, but not at the breakneck speed they were growing by. Tesla built up inventory in the first quarter, so they cut production in order to trim that inventory.
In an “S” curve has a rapid ramp and then the acceleration soften while sales continue at a steady, ‘hair on fire.’ Bob Wilson
26% increase in the last 7 days, 41% in the last 30 days and 49% in the last 90 days. Currently at $246.
If you had a larger portfolio, that could be just a day's swing of a quiet day on the market. Of course, these daily swings go both ways.
Yep, could've would have should have ... except you never know if it's going to go the other way. Best to play the long game. .
nah, i'm in for the long haul. makes it more interesting since i don't have a tesla yet. my 74 year old life long gear head brother just leased a model y, full self driving, he is thrilled with it.

Bought more on Friday, July 5. Not a bunch but enough to cover a Smith & Wesson M&P 15, Sport II. When we get closer to Nov 5th, I'll decide if I need to 'take profits' for a prophecy. Bob Wilson
As good as today was, it is still well below its peak. Nut Bob is well ahead. And now add in the risk of DJT and his anti EV crusade. What will that do to sales volume, revenue, and the stock price. Play as a meme stock but
Tesla will be just fine if the rebates are pulled. They have been fine in the past in an even worse situation (their rebates were gone while everyone else still had them).
