Just hit 333k miles (2015 Prius C Two)

    I'm the original owner. Just hit 333k hard driven city miles. Car runs great, no issues at all. Aside from regular maintenance, all I've ever had to replace was the hybrid battery ($700) and the waterpump/thermostat ($600). I'm confident I'll make it to 400k without issues. Fingers crossed. What a great car!

    I am not aware if you know, but probably you do not, i am going to tell you anyways just in case. Toyota hybrids use a planetary gear set, with a power split device which is another gear, that connects the 2 electric motors with the ICE, excluding a few like the Toyota Sequoia hybrid, Toyota Tundra hybrid which do not have a planetary gear set. This ''transmission'' is called transaxle, or ''eCVT'' as Toyota calls it, and it only has rotating gears and 2 electric motors, which means that there is no shift happening, no valve body, no pressure plate / discs, it is the most robust and reliable transmission design of them all, and the most efficient too with so few moving parts. It is also very light which helps with efficiency too.

    I just meant that it's silky smooth and feels like new. Yeah, it's incredibly reliable, and unlike the CVT in my 2014 Corolla and regular automatics in any other car, when you empty this eCVT all the fluid comes out, so you don't have to do it multiple times, so it's easy like an oil change. Brilliant design.
