Has anyone found a way to disable the TPMS yet?

My winter tires/rims from a previous Prius don't have the TPMS and I'm sick of looking at the light.

The link dr_d12 posted was two threads below the new thread you started. A least read the current threads before you start a new one.

Have you considered using a strategically placed piece of black tape?

It is possible to get it done with Techstream cable, 2 minutes' work

    --Install software
    --Locate "Customize setting" menu
    --Utility
View some TPMS and ABS values
    [IMG]
--select TMPS on the function menu and click “Data List”. Then you will see all real time data like vehicle speed, sensors ID, intake air temperature as well as each tire pressure and tire temperature etc.

I'm not having any luck finding the two wires that I have to jump to disable the TPMS. One of the cheap Chinese sensors that I bought lasted 4 years. I had enough. The car is 14 years old. I don't really care about it and I just don't want the light on the dash. What do I do

I'd just buy TPMS sensors on Amazon and have them installed in the tires... simple...

then, when I swap between wheels, just use techstream to update the TPMS system with the IDs of the sensors for the wheels I have installed. I mean... winter driving... wouldn't you want to know if your tire pressure is low?

There’s always a few lights on the dash; what’s one more. Like the passenger seat airbag status for example.

Just remove all the sensors from the computer using techstream or the D8 or any other
tool. And/or put a piece of black tape over the spot where the light is. (y)
