I vote for the KISS troubleshooting method.

    A. What is the 12v reading (1) at the jump point in the fuse box?

    B. What is the 12v reading (3) downstream of the 125a fusible link (2)?

How about a human initiated description of what lead up to the problem in complete sentences followed by what you have tried so far.

    Jump start?

Complete sentence? Where I come from the school to prison pipeline is big business/

    # Copilot : Certainly! Here’s a professional rewrite of the issues and actions taken, formatted with bullet points:

    Initial Issue and Diagnostic Actions:

    • Encountered a problem with the skid indicator, which activated the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) drove for months taking off the battery cable to reset
    • Toyota performed a J0V update; the system functioned correctly for approximately one week.
    • Attempted to have Toyota honor a recall for an inverter converter replacement without success.
    Subsequent Issues and Troubleshooting Steps:

    • The vehicle failed to start; replaced the inverter converter with a pre-owned unit, which temporarily resolved the issue.
    • Experienced repeated power cut-offs; depleted and replaced the 12V battery multiple times.
    • Purchased a Noco charger and booster due to persistent battery drain.*
    • Noted adverse effects of humidity on the system; inspected the hybrid battery and found corroded connections.
    • Replaced the wiring harness due to poor connections
    Further Diagnostic and Repair Attempts:

    • Transitioned from cranking without starting to a lack of ‘ready’ mode indicator light./ not driven or started for 6 months
    • Performed ECU resets using paper clips on Pins 4 and 13, as well as jumper cable resets.
    • Accidentally crossed wires, resulting in blown fuses, which were subsequently replaced.
    • Utilized an Etekcity Measure Up multimeter to test fuses, relays, and power supply to the ECU.
    • Inspected wire harnesses and device connections with the vehicle powered off; discovered possible issues at the Power Control Module (PCM) with two of the four connectors showing no response.
    • Observed that the brake lights were not functioning.
    Component Replacement and Observations:

    • Attempted replacement of the PCM and Smart Key box, which did not yield positive results; reverted to the original components.
    • Noticed the orange accessory light blinking before shutdown.
    • After reconnecting the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the parking light remained continuously illuminated.

    • (4/23/24 30 amp fuse under the hood.

I’m thinking maybe the brake booster is bad , would it prevent it from going into Ready mode ?

Hopefully you are out of shotgun shells.

I would measure the voltages I suggested in post 3. Most likely you did not replace the 125amp fuse which is buried in the engine fuse box.

Question, do these cables coming from hybrid battery going to the engine have a voltage? The modules are reading around 7.50 with the two in the middle 7.22 . But when I check with the multimeter the orange cables I get nothing and I tried checking the modules and the cables with a

KZYEE KM10 Power Circuit Probe I get nothing ?

They have a voltage around 201vdc when in Ready. However there is a contactor/power relay that opens contacts disabling them when the car is not in Ready. The orange disconnect plug also disconnects in a different way plus has a fuse.

Ok what is one of my confusions is Techstream was

But they went away I guess after changing out the harness, sensor and bus bars .

Let’s see - car was getting a Ready but at some point quit trying. PCM, inverter, wiring harness, battery voltage sense and bus bars changed among other things. Not sure what a scanner shows for hv battery voltage if any after six months sitting.

Even though changing hv battery parts adds complexity, common issues after a reversed polarity jump:

    1. Many fuses blow including the 125a
    2. Some are in the interior fuse box
    3. Occasionally blown fuses are missed but the assumption is they are all good
    4. Some have mixed up fuse positions missing a needed slot or a smaller fuse was inserted in a higher load slot blowing it

    HV battery
    5. Often the orange hv battery disconnect is not properly engaged because the last step is missed
    6. The voltage sense connector on the battery ecu has corrosion

EBay Parts and Wiring Harness Swap
    7. The part is bad or the wrong firmware
    8. Connectors are not properly connected

No start with Ready and engine spins
    9. Sensor connectors or hose connections bad

    No Spin
    10. HV Battery discharged
