Featured Toyota suspends Prius production following major recall order

I also wondered what such correction implies.. If dealerships are supposed prohibited from selling new cars with open recalls, I guess new priuses already arrived dealership could not be delivered to customers until necessary remedy applied to the units?
(I am just another "victim" that was originally told the delivery ETA would be mid this week, for my new prime order.. )

 

CD-Ever, I don't know if there is a stop sale in Canada. Transport Canada doesn't have it listed on their webpage.

 

Or at least that’s what they THOUGHT they were doing!

 

At least in Germany its now like that, stop sale and you dont get your car until its fixed - which will not happen too soon.

 

I have a Prius Design on order that should arrive with the first batch to arrive in the UK in June/July. I guess if it hasn’t left Japan yet they won’t bother to ship it until it is fixed. Or, it might arrive and then get left in a field until the new door parts arrive. I guess I won’t be getting my grubby hands on it until the end of the year.
