Ugg... Got 2011 reassembled. I can NOT get these codes to clear.

    Using Techstream.

Anomaly I see is that the dash LED's don't blink at all during the Linear offset procedure. What could that mean?

Plus, my Master Cylinder res'r DID go to minimum briefly but not below and now I can't clear the 1202.

And I want to get on the road...

I have seen some run through a pile of other recalibrations... haven't seen them suggested in the manual. How do we decide which ones to do? I'm thinking of stroke sensor bleed, for example.

Searching more... maybe this was my mistake: it wanted me to clear the linear solenoid data before re-learning. I only found one clear function... it may have cleared ALL abs/etc related data?!

    Yikes.

I really am confused about these clearing instructions (emphasis mine). How can the same instruction only clear one? Looks like a documentation error...
    • Select the skid control ECU to clear the zero point calibration data using the Techstream.
      • Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Utility / Reset Memory.
    • Select the skid control ECU to clear the linear solenoid valve calibration data using the Techstream.
      • Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Utility / Reset Memory.

SOLVED. I feel a little dumb...
Instruction sequence has me remove master level sensor cable... and never reinstall.
I decided to go check the master... and remembered.

Plug in cable, C1202 clears. With C1202 cleared, all the other tests complete just fine.

Time to pack up and get outtahere!

Glad you found the secret of C1202. :)

Hmm, maybe that utility does just clear both?

If I remember right, I scratched my head once about the non-Techstream jumper-wire procedures for those, which also looked like doing the exact same thing, till I noticed one specified parking brake on and the other specified parking brake off.

Could that also make a difference with the Techstream utility?

Yeah. At least we're well on our way, car working great. (Well, had to reinstall the old axle beam for now, which means exta tire wear. I'll finish that project after this trip. Getting too much experience w/ car repairs LOL.

    The service manual:
    • Doesn't mention parking brake during clear operations
    • Does say linear solenoid valve calibration will not happen if parking brake is on
    • Doesn't mention parking brake during zero point calibration
I was surprised to see that you're supposed to reset/recalibrate zero point after every front end alignment!

AND. since clearing also clears the linear solenoid valve calibration, BOTH would need to be redone.

I wonder how many alignment shops are aware of this?!
