I've got a question for you Prime owners with the red dash trim. Especially those that have red cars.

How do you like the red/copper trim underneath the light strip? And any who also have red paint, how do you think the two reds go together?

I've got a Supersonic Red HEV and I'm swapping my blue LEDs to red. The parts came yesterday and I see that I could swap the LED portion and leave the rest of the trim alone. At this point, I'm a little torn. I don't love the pattern printed on the silver trim that comes with the HEV. But I'm also not sure how much I like the red plastic trim against the red paint of the car. I had planned to just swap the whole part, but now I'm thinking of leaving the silver plastic sections and just swapping the LEDs.

Any thoughts from those of you that already have the red trim? Do you like what you have? Do you think it clashes with the red exterior? Thanks a bunch in advance.

I have a Prime SE…so no LED light in the interior; but I do like the red plastic trim. It’s a slightly pearlized plastic. It would look great with the supersonic red exterior. That was my first color choice; but ended up with wind chill pearl. What I don’t like is the red on the seats. I’m changing my seats to Katzkins. I actually wanted the light grey seat option on the HEV for the Prime; but you can’t get that. So I’m DIYing it with the Katzkins.

I wish manufacturers would allow for some customization; but they don’t in this price range.
Do you have the LED light bar in the back on your car? That’s the one other thing I want to eventually possibly change. The base models don’t have that(n)

I like the color of the copper trim. Before I picked up my car I wasn't so sure but when I saw it in person for the first time I really liked it. My car is black exterior so can't comment on the clash of the reds with the exterior reds.

I have been considering color matching the copper trim to a ppf on the outside for only certain parts of the exterior trying to give a two tone look like on the Rav4Prime and certain trims of the Camry but I haven't found a way to do it that I like.

If you're pulling off your seat covers to install the Katzkins, I'd be interesting in buying the original black/red ones. Or we could do a trade if you don't mind not having seat covers for a bit(while our respective covers are in transit to each other).

I do have the light bar, but mine is red instead of the clear that comes on the Primes.

I have a red prime xle and my thoughts are mixed. Fortunately, you are rarely in a position to see both red colors at the same time. I do like that the accent LEDs are red as that is a nice touch. Honestly, the gaudy silver/gray nose ring (Really Toyota?!?? There's nothing else on the car that is this color) and the license plate holder molded into the front bumper are the most annoying to me. Bonus points for the dealer drilling holes into it when my state doesn't require a front plate.

Not sure I'm the target audience with an SE but I did add the red LED to mine for the lightbar and I don't find it too much. The copper plastic I barely notice and is overshadowed by the red led. The red light bar itself blends in nicely with the red accents on the seat and red stitching on the steering wheel. I even added a UBS-C red light where the cupholder/"secret compartment" is since why not and it was hard to see at night.

I don't have red outside but I'm a big fan of the red Prius and overall I don't think it'd be too much. Red was my first choice but I didn't get much choice in the end ha.

I have a red XSE premium and I love the red dash trim. However it's very hard to see it and the exterior at the same time. Also you can hardly see it at all during the daytime. However, you can definitely see it at night, and it sure looks great!

Thanks to everyone, especially the owners of red Primes.

The exterior red is a little more obvious to me from the inside because I've had my side mirror caps color matched to the body. I hope to get the new dash parts at least partially installed next week.
