I saw this Prius in the local dealer with smooth front fascia (the piece in front of the hood) without the indentation for Toyota emblem. Is there an OEM version without the indentation? Front Fascia.jpg

Not that I'm aware of. I've seen a few pics of some without and it was people who paid to have the emblem removed, levelled and repainted to match. No OEM version of it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it disappeared at the mid-Gen refresh.

was thinking it was the license plate bump being discussed, maybe not.

I got a quote from a trusted shop for this. I would have to buy a spare bumper, They would chop both in pieces use that and some molding to create one bumper with no bumper, Repaint everyting. $3500 at a friends and family price. yikes

Wow! that’s definitely not worth it whatsoever just to get rid of the bump.

See if you can ask your buddy how much to fill-in the Toyota emblem holes like pictured in the first post pls.

Would be good for those of us who are considering it just to have a ballpark price range and what’s involved. I think it looks really sleek, especially if you de badge the rear also.

I did this on my Honda CR-Z when bumper had to be repainted. Loved the look. If anything happens to the Prius, will do the same thing, for now just opted for black front Toyota emblem over silver. Looks better with SE black wheels and trim on a white car. But there is also a question of the silver air dam trim on the bottom...

Where did you get the black emblem?

I too once had a Honda CR-Z! 2011 EX-Navi in north shore blue pearl. I know there were a lot of folks/reviewers that didn’t think much of that car, but I loved it!

That almost seems a lifetime ago, when two seats were sufficient for me!

CR-Z was magical and a quintessential anti-american car. Hatch, 2-seater, tiny 4-banger, hybrid, and 6-speed. No wonder it didn't last long, but I loved the thing, had a 2011 and a 2016 for a bit. Even EX-Nav was very rudimentary tech wise, fuel economy was so-so compared to any Prius, but it was fun to toss around with the 6-speed. I sold a 550i BMW when I got the 2011, everyone thought I was crazy :)

I carefully peeled off the silver one and soaked it in Plastidip. Holding up so far, even with tunnel carwash. I had to redo it because I accidentally wiped Plastidip fixing a paint chip in the bumper near the emblem, and now need to reapply the double sided adhesive to the log, but overall for an almost free "mod", it makes me happy. In my experience OEM-ish emblems are pricy.

Absolutely, the 6-speed was one of the best things about the CRZ. I know this a real subjective thing, but the clutch on the CRZ felt just right to me, compared to others I’ve tried.

Lots of good memories with the CRZ. And now making new memories with my new 2024 Prius Prime SE in supersonic red!

Was it difficult to get the OEM emblem off? I was thinking of plastidipping (is that even the right word?) the front emblem while it is still attached to the Prius.

Not at all...you can loosen the glue by blowing it with a hot air gun, or hair dryer. Then use a little plastic (not metal) pry tool and it will come up.

When I had a 2002 Scion iQ, I hated the Scion badge so much I removed them and replaced them with Toyota....got lots of questions from folks!

One mistake I made was being too zealous with removing remaining adhesive from the bumper/indent area and even gentle adhesive remover ended up going through the OEM paint and making a pinhole size black spot that I had to touch up. In the hindsight, I should've left that adhesive alone.
