Is yellowed out with a haze. Shop wants $550 to remove and replace with new clear glass over touch screen. Is there any way to clean the haze off the screen? I can partially see the touch screen during certain light conditions and it works when I touch AC fan, etc etc. ( Florida car (2005 110Kmiles)

    Any advice appreciated.

Just buy one at the wrecker for $50... I takes like 20 mins to swap it out... Make sure it has same number of buttons and is from same year or older Prius. 2006 will probably work too, but not 2007 and newer.

Thank you for the prompt reply. The shop where I took it says that the entire dash board has to come out to replace the screen. $500. Is there a site you can suggest that shows how to do the 20 replacement. I can't do it myself. Again, many thanks! So helpful. I

You just take the covers off on both sides of the screen and there's a couple bolts under that you undo and that's it. Takes 2 minutes to remove in the video below!

As for the con-artists who tried to charge you $500 their entire shop exists to rip people off not help people in an honest and affordable way. It's way too common in car repair business these days. You should send this video and tell them that they should be put out of business for all the rip-offs they've done and that you reported them to the authorities that handle their type of criminal business for further investigation:
