Seeking help of DR Prius App Results for Hybrid Battery Upgrade in My 2014 Camry Hybrid

    Hello Prius Chat Community,

    I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. I'm reaching out to seek your valuable insights and expertise regarding the results I obtained from the DR Prius app after upgrading the hybrid battery in my 2014 Camry Hybrid.

    Recently, I made the decision to replace the hybrid battery in my Camry with one sourced from a Japanese Camry Hybrid 2017, which had approximately 85,000 kilometers on it. Following the replacement, I used the DR Prius app to conduct diagnostics and assess the performance and health of the new battery.

    However, I find myself in a bit of a quandary after reviewing the results from the DR Prius app. I'm uncertain whether these results indicate that the hybrid battery upgrade was a wise decision or if there are any red flags I should be aware of.

    I would be immensely grateful if anyone within the Prius Chat community who has experience using the DR Prius app or expertise in interpreting its results could offer some guidance. Specifically, I'm eager to learn whether the results suggest that the hybrid battery upgrade is performing optimally or if there are areas of concern that require attention.

    Additionally, any advice or tips on how to maximize the efficiency and lifespan of the new battery would be tremendously appreciated. Your collective knowledge and experience would greatly assist me in making informed decisions about the maintenance and care of my hybrid vehicle.

    I'm not familiar with Camry Hybrid or how it should look in Dr Prius. There are Hybrid Battery tests that can be run in DrPrius by tapping the 3 bars at the top of your screen. The tests my require purchasing a subscription to the app.
    priuisapp.com is @jacktheripper webpage for DrPrius app and he has videos showing how to use the Hybrid battery tests and my other tips and hints there as well.

    I'm still very new to how Camry Hybrid should look in Dr Pirus . After comparing your video above with priusapp.com video of Camry I believe your battery looks pretty good. "The yellow and red only show during regen into the battery - maybe from too much brake? - and maybe not as bad as it might look.
    Other indicators look strong. Only other possible issue I see are the 3 blue internal resistance bars on the graph in the video and 13 blue internal resistance bars in the picture. But battery temps are near the upper limit of the battery healthy temp range. Again, that can be simply because of a hot day where you're driving the car.
    Please remember, DrPrius/DrHybrid now support many different Toyota and Lexus model hybrid cars, And what is a normal looking full screen of DrPrius on one model hybrid may not be the same on a different model hybrid.

    I hope to learn more if I can find more screenshots and videos of DrPrius being used by Camry owners.

    I think the temp is normal since the car is in the Middle East where a regular summer day the temperature goes to 120 F / 49 C regularly but if you say everything else looks good for a battry out of a 2017 car then I’m good..I think. :p

    I'm sure there is a LOT more to your story than has been posted above.
    Anything you can think of to keep your battery temps below 100 F helps the battery last longer.
    That flashing red in your video is also something you want to keep to a minimum.
    With temps in the 120 F I can only imaging how hot your battery gets during the summer.
    High tems are brutal on batteries.:rolleyes:
