I just bought a 2009 Prius in Japan, and the head unit is only in Japanese. I want to replace it, and have a friend lined up to do the work, I just need to choose something that will fit/work with the car. I'm seeing some on Amazon but still wanted to consult the hive mind. What size display/unit am I needing to get to ensure it fits in the space, please? Are there any other specs or things you'd caution me about or that I need to look for as I browse?

Finally if you have links to good replacement units that you'd recommend or you bought, fire away! I don't have to go Amazon either. I'm not looking to spend a ton, and I do want to see if I can get wired or wireless CarPlay in the package.

Bonus if it has a USB port for charging my phone. The power port on this model is at the very far back on the inside of the center console, which is a bit of a pain.

    Thanks!

Even though you have a 2009, it is a Gen 3. In Japan the Gen 3 started in 2009, so you have one of the first-year gen 3 models.

You might get better info and help posting in the equivalent Gen 3 forum.
