2010 Prius. Intermittently, the multi-information display is blank but gauges and meters panel is on with kmh instead of mph. What’s going on?

That is interesting If you were to scan the car with the code scanner do you see anything just curious we haven't had this happen on either of our threes but that is kind of interesting like something lost communication or some such kind of nonsense have you tried undoing the 12 volt battery for say you know a minute and then rebooting everything and see what happens It seems like something blurbed communication for a second or whatever it takes and the computer just went wacky. I'm not even sure which computer would control that panel exactly so you'd have to get to the online manual electrical section and have a look c ertainly an interesting project.

Of course without needing to say it but you're going to check all your fuses and electrical connections and your 12 volt status just to be sure of what you're working with

No DTC code reported. I will see if I can disconnect the 12V battery. Could the 12V battery be going bad?

It could very well be like I say I haven't done much of this with the Gen 3 all of ours had new 12 volts and all of that all through till the time they blew up so I'm not really sure about that but that would be one of the first things in a Prius you check when things are getting funny especially electrically is to make sure you're 12 volt is up to snuff because it's charging circuit is not real powerful and well that's that I even go so far as to put a pigtail for my trickle charger so every few months I'll charge up the battery to 100% usually to be honest it'll never be below 80% according to my charger and then it'll run it up to full and about oh I don't know an hour maybe a little less and then the charger just hangs on the wall in the carport and battery seemed to last sometimes longer than I can remember.

Yes, the tow guy said it's only at 10.5V, technically a bad battery and a jump start got me going. Now I am replacing the battery. Thanks for your insights.
