    Does changing the oil caliber affect the rate of fuel consumption?

    0W-20 and 0W-16 oils can give reduced fuel consumption in some engines & circumstances.

    It should be noted that 5W-30 is already giving reduced consumption relative to "classic" older oil weights used in the 20th century.
