    Prius v land -

I am looking for a used 2015-2017 Prius v and came across a dealer selling two 2015 v Five models. According to the dealer they were imported from Korea. The stereo/info unit is not what you see on a standard U.S. Prius for instance voice messages on startup in Korean and temperature setting in Celsius . In addition, the carfax history only includes the point the dealer acquired the vehicle.

    Has anyone encountered this before?

    Prius v Five #1 (Carfax)
    Prius v Five #2 (Carfax)

I usually shy away from small independent auto dealers put a loaded Prius v Five..........

Pricing is ridiculous and maintenance more so on a Korean build.

    $19k for a 9-year-old economy car?

I'll bet safety requirements are different in Korea, $1 says it's not as safe as US models. Also why ship them aaalllll the way to the US? Big red flag. That had to cost half the value of the car, and maybe there was something wrong with them, such as maybe they are salvage cars. We paid $14k for my wife's loaded 2012 with 40k miles back in 2017, $19k is insanity.

Maybe just for 7 seats and different battery chemistry (JDM models had both right?)

Yes battery location and chemistry is different as well.

I wonder how the OEM lithium battery compares with the OEM NiMH in longevity?…

More like 7-child seats. I'm sure most Americans would find this car very uncomfortable on a long road trip. The Prius V is already a small car compared to other American SUV's; then cramming two additional jump seats in the back and lower Korean safety standards; if they have any????

NO thank you; might as well ride a scooter on the interstate - at least you could dodge some cars in heavy traffic.

    Just my 2 cents.....

The front 5 seats are good size for us (maximum height 5’7”). Never got to try the third row while in Europe, they are optional and one we rode in didn’t even have them. That one did seem more luxurious as it had built in roll up window shades in the rear door panels…

Interesting, I thought Japanese cars are almost nonexistent in Korea ( vice versa)

By the way, the 7 seven seater uses lithium battery, located below the centre arm rest.
