    Elsewhere there were 'second-hand' shops where electric drills or bicycles or whatever were priced low. All seemed pretty obviously theft sourced. But now they are gone and I miss them.

    Ah but this isn't Ventville...

    Or, a little more in the spirit of χριστmas, you can find other places where bikes are priced low, like:

    Charity Navigator - Rating for Freewheelin Community Bikes

    donation-sourced, providing bike wrench training to youth from the surrounding communities, and if you volunteer so many hours wrenching on other people's bikes, you can pick one from inventory for yourself.
