    2007 Prius HID lights. Would like to change to LED. A person posts he did it this way, another person said he did it that way, another person says he did it the other way.

    Same with buying HID ballast. One person bought this one, another person bought that one, another poster says he got a different one, seems like everyone's on there own.

    With other things, motorcycles, R/C airplanes, there's many choices, but there is a consensuses on the best place to get things, the best way to do certain things. Doesn't seem like that with Prius.

    To do the change, you have to cut the wires. I've seen a few different ways. Some use the Ballast, other bypass it. Is there a kit you can buy with everything? A way to do it without cutting the wires?

    I saw this on amazion;

    Says, "Pre-Wired for Plug and Play. No need to modify the stock wires at all"

    Says it fits 2007 Prius. Can't tell if all I have to do it unhook the wires from the headlight (not the igniter, but the other plug), use this adapter and no cutting needed.

    You'd think with all the other things out there (igniter to LED) there would be a easy kit.

    What is the easiest way to do this?

    Thank you,
    ebm

    Can't get rid the the big space. "saw this on amazon;" has a link after but doesn't show it.

    Also, if I can find a good ballast HID combo at a good price, I could keep them.

    You're reading a 20+ year old website that has recommendations for things that were only on the market for 5 months, and were then replaced by a new model/version/part number.

    That's kind of how it is.

    If you aren't doing your upgrade within a few months of somebody else on here, all the choices will be different.
