The G5 Prius truly is a masterpiece when taken as a whole and compared to its predecessor. Yes, the G4 was looks-compromised and darn near anything would have been an aesthetics improvement, but the G5's design puts to shame the MAJORITY of cars on the road in 2023. It's like good looks overkill. I've never seen anything like it in a vehicle generational change - DEFINITELY not in the economy class. This complete overshoot in looks and performance is probably a big reason why "SOME" have gotten so triggered. Like I said months ago, imagine if you were the guy/gal that just locked down a brand new 2022, and then Toyota drops this Cinderella onto the market, it would be saddening. Gokhan is sad.

OK, I guess people shouldn't be picky and choosy when they spend $40,000 on a car.

One thing that Gen 5 never comes anywhere close to my Gen 4 is the color. The amazing bright greenish blue of mine gets a lot of admiration and respect on the road.

Ha, you think the real-life color that glows under ultraviolet light and the hue that is impossible to capture digitally is anything like that computer picture?? So much ignorance.

Perhaps your incredible obsession with the looks of your new car would be healthy if you weren't constantly worried about what others thought about it.

They are always aimed low because Toyota needs to comply with the DOT regulations for low beams.

In my old car with GE H6054HO high-output halogen sealed beams, I used to aim them higher, and they used to illuminate well, but to some drivers, they appeared as high beams, and they flashed me. Chances are that yours now appear as high beams and blind the other drivers, too.

That is why Toyota now has auto high beams.

Why on earth would I be worried what others think about it? It gets constant compliments, neck cranes, and folks trailing me on the road so they can get a better look. I'm worried about you. Your health.

I do like that blue a lot (I’ve seen it in person). However, my last car was a bright blue Prius C I named Queen Elsa. So my taste can definitely be a bit twee.

That’s why I went with red. I was tired of having my car mistaken for a teenager’s.

Supersonic red is one of my favorite Gen 5 colors, along with the midnight black metallic. It is not the best red out there like the Mazda red, but it is better than most other Gen 5 colors.

I don't like most blue colors. Gen 4 Prius Prime blue is quite different than the Prius c blue as well as the Gen 4 Prius blue. The 2025 Camry metallic greenish blue seems to be an excellent color.

You will find that the white pearl accentuates the lines (as good) or better than any other color. I don't know why this is, but I'm convinced of it. I originally wanted the Guardian Gray; my next choice was Cutting Edge, then Metallic Black. I settled for white because I actually wanted to get a car in the 21st century. I am VERY lucky I did. This white is so complex and deep it isn't funny. It absolutely embodies the word "premium color".

I've seen a black G5 and it hides the lines more than other colors. I haven't seen a red in person. Red might be equivalent to white.

If I were to rank the most flattering G5 colors, I would say white, red, blue/silver, gray, then black.

You'll remember my G4 was black, so I have nothing against the color. I specifically chose it on the G4 to HIDE the design lol. Plus, black is a very popular luxury car color so I was trying to get a little bump in the class category as well.

**EDIT** Forgot about yellow! I have no idea how it compliments the lines. I suspect it's at least in the category with blue and silver. But there's a reason why Toyota flooded the market with white at the beginning. The pearlescence magnifies the curves like crazy.

I think Gokhan’s perfect Prius is the new Corolla Cross. What amazes me from his review is his opinion on steering and ride quality. I find the suspension on the new Prius a perfection of balance of sportiness and comfort coupled with very comfortable seats for this class. This Prius is a perfect daily zipper around a busy city.

What’s the guy doing near the end of the red color scene, in the background by the other car, with his leg?

+++++ on the white pearl. No wonder it’s extra cost.

Wow! Do you teach gaslighting professionally or is it just a hobby?
