2010 model. Putting in a used brake master cylinder. The tube in question is the vertical black tube with a gray inside that’s just beside the assembly I’m putting in. I assume it’s not supposed to be open like it is pictured. What goes on it? should it just be capped? I don’t recall taking anything off but I am be mistaken. I was surprised to see it when I installed the replacement unit. IMG_0083.jpeg IMG_0083.jpeg IMG_0083.jpeg

That is the feed black hose from the lower portion of the brake reservoir goes to there not the upper hose but the very bottom on the bottom of the brake reservoir that black hose will go to that gray fitting and there's a slide clamp that comes down and secures it.

It's the "this car may never work right again" tube.

I've had a few of those over the years.....

Excuse my confusion please. Are you talking about the circled tube? IMG_1208.jpeg I should have highlighted it in the original question instead of trying to describe it.

Hold on I'll be back at this silly car in about an hour and I'll tell you because I'm standing here staring at it with the wiper tray out getting ready to deal with transmission silliness or flex plate or somewhere right there at that connection.

There again that black tube has a black rubber hose that goes up about 2 in '90s over towards the valve cover and connects to a gold metal tube that's bolted just to the side of the EGR valve and goes down to the intake with another rubber hose connected to it just beside the air box.

What would be helpful is if the person who answers the question shows a photo of it connected to whatever it is supposed to be connected to.

Found it, thanks for taking the time to help. Not sure why I would have taken that hose off to remove the brake actuator but all’s well. Here’s hoping the used replacement actuator actually works.

Have to resize and do a bunch of dances to do pictures so just look at the gold tube right next to your EGR valve follow it till it connects to rubber over by the brake actuator and that piece of hose plugs into that black tube that's empty I'm pretty simple stuff.
