Services canceled and car removed from app

    I got an email stating my connected services have been cancelled and my car removed from the app, check the app and yes my car is missing. I haven't even had the car 6 months. Anyone else have this issue? I'm on ignore with Toyota right now.

    What happens if you go into the car and set up the Toyota app again like you did originally?

    haven't tried because I don't want them to charge me

    5 months is an odd number for a free trial. Also it's supposed to be something like 3 or 5 years

    Tried and it won't generate the QR code to connect.

    Did you try to reset the car through the multimedia unit?

    Been waiting on hold for an hour trying to get through to Toyota. I think their phone system must be broken because the last 10 minutes there have been zero callers ahead of me.

    It looks to me that it is pretty easy to delete your vehicle in the app accidentally. Here is a screenshot on iOS of the Remove Vehicle button in the app.

    I think they can only charge you if you have put your credit card into the wallet of the app on the fiance tab.

    I would think if you add your car again like you did originally and since the subscriptions are tied to the vehicle vin there is a good chance it will know your purchase date and the date you originally activated your subscriptions.

    Sounds like a trip to the dealership - Let them figure it out and tell you what happened...

    It says 3–10 years of free trial depending on the feature. That's not it then. Try removing and reinstalling the app and reconnecting with the car.

    My 'connected services' ended yesterday, and when I got into the car, it had 'forgotten' my Android Auto; I had to go into my Bluetooth settings and connect it again. On the other hand, I was concerned that my app would have my car settings disappear as well, but was able to get into the app. One weird thing was that I had to accept a whole bunch of 'connected services' disclaimers, although I am not connected to it. Weird. Meanwhile, the app is working like it should again. Safety Connect, Service Connect is active, up to 10 years, and Remote Connect is active until 1 year from purchase date.

    I had an update on the app yesterday. I wonder if that has/had anything to do with it. App is still working and no interruption of connected services.

    Weird...I thought it might be an update of the app, but when I went to check to see if there was one, it stated 'up to date'

    When I was looking at the free trial subscriptions for the 2023 I thought they maxed out at 1 yr except for the one that keeps track of vehicle maintenance/service. I think the trials were longer before.

    The length of free service, used to relate to model. On my 2021 LE it was only a year; while XSE got 3-5 years free.

    Website states “up to” 10 yr trial for service and safety connect for XSE and XLE whatever that means.

    Those numbers are for OP's country Canada. US Gen 5 has no free trial (at least on cloud-navigation etc. features) on some trims and only one year on others. Gen 4 had a free three-year full trial.

    The US gets Remote Connect trial for one year, Safety Connect for up to 10 years and Drive Connect, no mention of a trial period.
