Hard to find a negative in the video drive.

Depends upon who you ask. Tesla did indeed invest heavily in refining the design and seems to have got a great return on that... for enthusiasts. But if you ask an ordinary consumer what they think of those refinements, the one-word description would likely be "overkill". Priorities of speed, power and range shouldn't be at the top anymore. We are no longer in that stage of EV rollout. Isn't Tesla's goal to dramatically increase sales?

In other words, how will the tech exploited in the new Model 3 be carried over to a Model 2?

    And how much?

hard to believe they could improve much on the 2023, but a decent drop in price and hatch would be most welcome.

or they could just raise the price to 55k like the bz4x

I don’t expect the price to drop at all.
They have a Model 3 with a hatch. It is called a Model Y:p

I'm doing aerodynamic tuning on my 2019 Model 3 and the new version has hit my sweet spots:
    • more efficient tires - I don't know what Tesla are using but I switched my rims and rubber to Bridgestone Ecopia. This made a measured improvement of up to 5% at speeds under 45 mph. I'm working on wheel covers to improve highway performance and range.
    • eliminate the cheek slots - talk about obvious drag holes ... I'll be crafting water noodle and duct tape sealing.

Aren't they somehow involved in evacuation of air pressure from within the wheel well?

That's a poor narrative. To be only compliance, sales wouldn't be taking place in non-CARB states. Yet, you can order and take delivery elsewhere.

Now now. Just cause Toyota isn't selling many doesn't mean they aren't going to make many. They are just clearing out the Rav4 Prime back log first.

Remember, know your audience. Toyota wants to establish what customers don't want first, and then they can figure out how to deliver a car to non enthusiasts who make up the moving goal posts.

The bx4z represents the best of what customers don't want. Once Toyota establishes this, and has their magic solid state batteries working, they can begin the next phase of their rollout.

I'm already tuning my 2019 Model 3 Std Rng Plus:
    • lighter wheels and tires - done
    • wheel covers to minimize air passing through spokes - development in testing phase
    • tire mud/aero shields - planning
    • rear wheel covers - planning
    • front cheeks and air inlet tuning - planning
