My mph/km/h rocker switch inst on my dash. It’s on the side under the gas filler panel release

The button everyone is pushing to reset the maintenance required message is my charging time button

I know we have reset it at least 4 times before now so I know it can be done. It’s on trip a - we shut the car off. Have tried the mph button on dash. Have tried the button shown In videos - have even tried both buttons together then pressing start twice - nothing is resetting it

it's all laid out in the owners manual. the poorly written japanenglish can be frustrating sometimes, but it can be reset eventually

What’s the downside if you don’t reset, say parts of the dash display are obscured, there’s a beeping, or?

Canadian spec Prius thankfully don’t have this.

you get the maintenance required message every time you start out, and you have to toggle pat it. just a minor pain, but unnecessary.
it's on the power bar screen iirc.
