Need everyones help please read

    So couple months ago the red triangle of death popped up and my scanner showed P0A80 and Dr. Prius showed hybrid battery system fail. The hybrid fan will come on right away and my mpg went from 40mog to like 25mpg. I read that the red triangle can also be triggered by a weak 12V and I did leave my headlights on overnight a couple time so I figured I will go with the cheaper route and go from there.

    Well.. I crossed polarity and blew the fusible link block and couple other fuses under the hood so got them replaced and the car turns on again, but now not only do I have the red triangle, I also got the battery sign and the car with exclamation in the middle sign on the touch screen. I ordered a refurbished set of 28 blocks with new bus bar and had it installed but still have the red triangle and those codes.

    I had my friend scan with his more thorough and it shows P0A08 and P0A09, pointing to DC /DC converter and the inverter, possibly ECU? Researched suggested I check the white wire on the 12V and no visible damage on wire and not corroded. The other white harness by the rear passenger side close to the 12V that I guess is th connection to the dash ir touch screen had some corrosiom so we used the electric spray and cleaned it ansd checked continuity and it was good. Main fuse on the 12V is good and even checked the 5A fuse on battery and it was good. I popped the inverter reservoir cap and I see the swirl indicating pump is running and the fluid level is good.

    I know the standing volt doesnt mean much, its the load capacity u gotta test but nonetheless, there is a reason why people plug the voltmeter to see if the vol is under 7V and why sellees advertise that their refurbished and reconditioned is guaranteed 7.8V +/- 0.2V. All my cell blocks were on average 7.5V if u wanna take that into consideration. I checked the orange harness and other harness on the drivers side of the hybrid battery where it is plugged into the silver box, and cofirmed no corrosion and no visible tear, then plugged it back in firmly into place. The safety orange lock on the hybrid is indeed locked in to place properly incase some may think that couldve caused the issue.

    Any opinions on what next will be appreciated before I go back to my mechanic friend over the weekend

    I recommend that you get the Toyota service manual for all the current trouble codes that you have and work through the trouble shooting steps until you discover what parts need to be replaced.

    But you've had this car running since you put this battery in and when that was the case are you seeing the inverter charging the battery at least to full blue bars?

    It is certainly possible that you hurt the DC-DC converter. But you should get a copy of the service manual and perform the diagnostic tests before replacing parts.

    P0A80- that sets when the battery ecu sees block voltages that are too far apart for too long. (Toyota doesn't say "how far" or "how long").

    What does Dr Prius show for VOLT DIFF while you drive the car? If it gets above 0.3V for more than a few seconds the ecu "takes notice". The higher the difference, the less time before a code sets.

    If you are talking about the touch screen then yes, I see the bars charging and the arrow direction going from engine to battery and vice versa if that answers your question

    Check 5 amp fuse on the positive terminal of 12v battery.

    I'd use a multimeter or fuse tester to and systematically check every fuse in the engine fuse box as well.

    Further, there's 120 amp fuse on the positive battery terminal AND 100 amp fusable link in the engine fuse box. Both are worth checking.
