2022 Bolt EUV Initial impressions

Those bolts are just wonderful cars for the average guy. I've seen more than a couple of them locally and they catch your eye each time.

The MSRP of the one in bisco's post is $31,000. With the incentives now available and the features the Bolt offers - a case could be made it's the best car value for the dollar in the automotive landscape right now.

 

Good YouTube channel is "Transport evolved". I've been following her since she put her own battery system in a genII Prius. She's a member here at PC but I haven't seen any of her posts for quite some time. So - she just mentioned her AC went out on her Bolt.
Out of warranty cost? ~$4,000 !

have you ever had to get a/c replaced on a prius or tesla?

 

so i contacted them, and of course their first response was, 'can you come by today to discuss your options?'
i replied, 'not today, but i would love to set up a test drive.'
that was yesterday, and i haven't heard from them.

 

In past years there have been financial needs tp do ones own AC compressor. 400v power source? Not so much.

well, the prius a/c repair doesn't diy too well on these boards, and i doubt telsa does either.
prius is expensive to replace, and tesla you probably have to replace the whole car

 

I saw that, too. Personally, I would have gotten pricing from an indy shop first. Of course, if they say they can do it and aren't afraid of an EV.

ceo pay often comes up when times are tough are workers pay is talked about.

nothing ever comes of it, and i doubt anyone capable of change wants change.

When I bought the EUV, I opted for the $500 EVGo credit, since I already have a Level 2 charger in the garage. I went to an EVGo charger to set up Autocharge+ for both cars. The EUV set right up, but the EV wouldn't, so I'll try it again tonight, since it was starting to get busy while I was there.

 

Are there options for all buyers?

 

You can go for the credit towards installing a Level 2 charger, which I believe is $1500. I already have one, so that's why I went for the $500 EVGo charging credit.

 

I wouldn’t mind an evse upgrade, thanks!
