Goodyear Assurance Maxlife tires? 195/65/15

From reading about the experience of others, the goodyears will cost you mpg.
Continental true contact were the best for me. Noisy, but good mpg and great in the rain!

 

From what I experienced using this continental they have short wet stopping and wet grip for turning when they are on the low end with sbout 33% life left. Maybe a lot of tires will perform lower when they are loosing life but I recently switched to Michelin Defender which is rated 20+ ft better wet stopping distance (if I recall correctly--was huge difference). Probably sacrificed some mileage, but ability to stop and potentially avoid an accident is worth it to me.

I got 80,000 miles out of mine. And wet weather stopping was just as good at 80,000 miles at
it was when they were new.
They exellerated without spinning, even on the painted markers.

 

I may have had a different continental tire. Anyway, wet stopping rating is worth paying attention to.

Don’t be sick my fellow. The defender t h are rebadged energy savers. I was Ill myself til my research led me to the finding. Similar MPGs on my current defender t h compared to my previous energy savers, both yield low to mid 60 mpgs.

 

Sadly they feel they must change things, that work well.
And remember, dealers want to sell the tire that makes them the most profit.

If you do a search from duckduckgo, you'll find several supposedly llr tires. Real about them
and just make YOUR best decision on which ones to buy.

Most of us want a tire that is quite, lasts for 100,000 miles, and keeps the mpg high.
There doesn't seem to be such a tire, so you pick which part you like and buy accordingly.

 

Michelin CrossClimate2 for best all season with no mpg hit according to this review. Not the cheapest but Central Texas now gets ice and snow every year and we live on a hill. So safety trumps all other factors.

 

That's the one I purchased when I first got my Prius. Great mpg, smooth, great grip in the rain.
They lasted the 80,000 miles. They were just noisey.
