Have a fair amount of water leaking from the console on the passenger side, it's not water infiltration as it isn't raining and hasn't rained for a week.

I suspect it's water from the ac as whenever it's running more water comes out, I can't take it in until Tuesday due to it being a long weekend but wondering if anyone had any other thoughts?

that's very surprising for a new car, but you're probably right. i think you can go upt the drain tube from under the car

If this is about your 2010 Prius, you're asking the question in the wrong forum. 2010 Prius's are discussed in the 3rd Generation forum. You're likely to find the necessary expertise there.

Sorry this is a 2023 Ltd in Canada, didn't have a chance to update profile yet since the 2010 ran into head gasket problems

I'll take a look if the tube is clogged but can't really get under the car without a lift which I can't do in my current driveway, thanks

yeah, for the tube to be clogged on a new car, something would have had to happen at the factory or dealer it think, but they don't sit long enough for debris to collect.

maybe it was never connected securely at the factory

First guess is that the A/C condenser drain is plugged or disconnected.
Did it work for awhile and only recently start leaking water, or has it been leaking water since you took delivery?

This is likely to be an easy fix, a reasonably easy fix, or a very, very hard one.

If it was fine at first then suddenly changed, I hope it's something as simple as an animal sticking a rock or nut into the drain end. Take it into the dealership and they should have it fixed in a few minutes.

Next level is if the drain hose disconnected from the A/C box. They'll pull back the carpet a little bit, reconnect the hose, and you'll be good to go in less than an hour.

If it's been leaking since day one, and the problem is inside the A/C box itself, it could be a day or two of solid work tearing out the entire dash to get at the clog. You won't have to pay for a thing, but the car might be at the dealership for a couple/few days.

Here's a good video that shows everything that goes into removing the A/C box in a Toyota. At 4:15 he starts talking and showing where the water drains out of the A/C box. At 6:20 he shows the hose that runs from the A/C box out the floor of the car.

Thank you for the information, due to a holiday dealership is still closed today and it was leaking when we went out.

I was able to get the side of the console off and found the problem, the water was leaking from what looks like the overflow valve indicating that the tube was clogged.

I unplugged the tube, drained the water that was sitting in the tank (some intentionally some unintentionally lol) and used a little hand pump to pressurize the drain tube, after a couple pumps it popped and ran clear end result seems to be some manufacturer debris got I the tube (see attacked)

If you'd gone to the dealer - wouldn't they have replaced the carpeting so it doesn't get mold or smell everytime it gets hot?

The carpet in my '05 got soaked one time and even though I dried as much as possible, it smelled for months in the Florida heat.
