    hi.

looking to unplug the upstream the upstream A/F sensor from the engine harness. it is plugged in and held in place with some type of latch that i have never seen a picture of.

i have read many threads, and watched many videos, on the process of removing the 'sensor end' itself from the exhaust. for example, how to remove the cowl to come at it from the top. i get it.

but i have not seen anything on how to disengage the latch between the engine harness and sensor plug so that one can 'unplug' the 'plug end' from the engine harness (by the inverter). it is in a bad spot and i cannot see it or reach it by hand. looking for any tricks/tips on what was done to get it unlatched and unplugged (hopefully without removing the inverter).

    thanks

Found it easier to remove the upstream sensor for under the vehicle, and had a very kind friend hold the harness connector from up top, and then unclipped it from underneath (or maybe it unclipped from up top), think I only had to pinch the clip, but could've also used a longer narrow flat head to get under the clip as well, just like you would do for the spark plug coil connectors when you're tired of pinching.

Images do exist of various connectors on page 374 (linked below), A/F should be labeled "A5".

Bottom of page 15 gives a couple of removal option ideas, not all that helpful I guess.

I know we removed the wiper and tray, and we may have found better topside access by also unbolting and scooting (leftwards) the coil wiring loom that sits between the engine and inverter (upside down L shape).
