Never seen a Gen 5 on the road

I was out driving today and happened to look in my rearview and there was a gray 2023 behind me! It pulled up along side me and we shared a friendly wave before he went on his way. Made my day. Probably the first one I’ve seen in close proximity since I got mine.

 

Just saw a cutting edge LE parked out in front of the local Toyota dealer. But was a not for sale Fleet vehicle. Figures

But nice to see one finally. Looked a little more 'normal' in person

I've seen 4 Gen 5's in the wild, one in black, one in blue, and two wind chill pearls. About 3 weeks ago while leaving my neighborhood, I made a right turn while my "twin" (wind chill pearl LE or SE) was waiting at a stop sign and we both greeted each other with a mutual thumbs up.

 

Was just driving through an upscale part of town and saw a 23 Gravity LE on the road.

 

I've been looking for a 5th Gen too since there was a possibility of seeing one and still haven't. The very first one I saw was the one I was about to buy. I've had my Prime a bit over a week now and do feel it is my civic duty to be seen and especially to pull up next to other earlier gen Prius owners and let them see it!

As a Prius owner since 2003, it is definitely a strange feeling seeing someone stop and look at your car in a parking lot and crooning their necks looking at your car on the highway. Never ever ever been in that position before!!!

Saw my 2nd on the road yesterday. Couldn't tell trim level or whether it was a Prime or not.

 

I saw a white Prime the other day. The Prime logo is hideous.

 

Not sure what you are referring to, which logo, where is it that you are finding hideous? Maybe looks worse on the white, but I don't know which one you are talking about.

 

The "Prime" text on the bottom right side of the trunk, where the blue circle is on a non-Prime. It's in some sort of script you'd expect in neon letters on an 80s television show. Unless the car I saw added it themselves?

The colors are so close in this photo. I work on an airbase and when returning to parking garage this week a blue LE just like mine passed me by and yesterday I was behind a windchill pearl LE and it turned on my street but I had to keep going straight. Sightings are increasing here in the SA Tx area.

 

I've only seen one in my area; it was about 2 months ago. There have been very few at dealers; only 1 on the lot at one dealer that had a $ 6k markup on their Priuses.. I ordered mine for MSRP and tax/title out the door and ordered the all weather mats, mud guards and rear hatch protector from their parts dept. They're going to install them for free. My car should be at the dealer in about 2-3 weeks. Can't wait. (2023 Prius LE, Cutting Edge).

 

The wind chill pearl really does look almost silver in the right light. I was coming back to my car the other day and seriously thought for a moment that someone had driven my car off and a different Prius had parked in its place because it looked so silvery.

 

Saw my first black one in Lafayette this morning. Glad I got the Cutting Edge.

 

ACTUALLY HEARD in my church parking lot this morning: "That is a nice looking car". I was walking behind them, so they didn't know it was my car. I've been driving Prii since 2003, so clearly the first time I've ever heard that!
