We maks special Tesla jacking adapters. Yesterday, we tried a few of our adapters on a new Model 3. The Model 3 always came with 25mm chassis jacking sockets. To our surprise, the 2023 model comes with 20mm jacking sockets that date back to the Model S and Model X. On that account, we are remachining our adapter to 20mm. All those vendors on eBay, Amazon or on line will be getting many returns. Here are a few photos of our adapters in use.
The jacking socket is a hole punched into the rail of the aluminum chassis frame and formed by a dimple die. It is shown in this photo. The original Model S used a separate glass filled nylon adapter like this.
Those adapters are a snap to print. Made a set for our Model S & when we changed over to the x - they were still a perfect fitment. if you don't have a 3D printer - chances are one of your friends or neighbors does. free is my favorite price
